What we collect and why

Order information — checkout is handled by Shopify. When you place an order we receive your name, delivery address, email address and order details. We use these solely to fulfil your order, provide customer support, and meet our legal record-keeping obligations. We never see your card or bank details — payment is processed entirely by Shopify and its payment providers.
Email correspondence — if you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you.

Cookies & local storage

We use only essential browser storage: your basket contents, your light/dark mode preference, and your cookie choice. These stay on your device and are never sent to us or anyone else. When you continue to checkout you are taken to Shopify, which sets its own cookies to process your order and payment securely — see Shopify's privacy policy. We use no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this site.

Who we share data with

Shopify (online store, checkout and payment processing), Royal Mail and other carriers (delivery labels carry your name and address), and Netlify (website hosting). We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 6 years as required by UK tax law, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict our processing, and request data portability. Email hello@petalpack.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
